Orion is a main character in Revenge of the Lost Elves.
History[]
Orion was born in Gryk in one of the most influential families of the High Elves, his father being Imperial Judge under Narcelia.
Unbeknownst to Orion, shortly before his birth they had banished their daughter Melinoe for not being magic and powerless. Orion was raised thinking he was an only child. He grew up popular, arrogant and talented.
One day, during celebrations, he discovered a secret passage under Gryk. For trespassing his wings were burnt off and he was declared a Lost Elf and banished from Gryk by his father personally.
He was eventually found by a group of other Lost Elves, Quincent, Shilus, Thoebe, Xenox and Melinoe. After they made him realise the corrupt world he grew up in he agreed to showing them the new secret passage and invading Gryk.
They gathered at an unknown city of Lost Elves. After raising an army they were ready to invade. It was here Melinoe asked Quincent about her past after all those years and he tells her her parents had a second child, Orion, whom they also banished. She keeps this information to herself and distances herself from her brother.
The Saged Elves stop the army from passing their woods to Gryk until they get help from the Seasonal Fairies. Orion here learns to appreciate fairies as creatures, not just servants.
They march on to Gryk where Narcelia is waiting with her army. She reveals she used Orion to lead all Lost Elves here to destroy them. The final battle begins.
Orion is told by a guard his parents were captured and he needs to banish them. Melinoe is going with him which makes Xenox eager to join as well. Once they find them Melinoe starts beating Cepheus almost to death.
"Stop it! Stop it, Melinoe! He's my father. Stop it!"
"He's my father, too!" Melinoe cried, looking up from her victim.
She finally reveals her relation to Orion. Meanwhile, Thoebe is killed by Narcelia. Quincent finally abandons his pacifict nature and sacrifices himself by jumping from a tall bridge with Narcelia after one of her wings is cut off by Shilus. The city falls to pieces with the death of the ruler.
Melinoe and Orion leave their parents in their cell knowing what they did to them. As the building collapses Xenox uses all his magic to fly away with Melinoe and Orion. They mourn Thoebe and Quincent as the four wonder what to do with this fallen empire. Will they rule it?
