Nigellus Herbert Burke (1913-1984) was the eldest son of Herbert Burke and Belvina Black and the older brother of Leopold Burke and Grace Burke. He was the co-shopowner of the Knockturn Alley shop "Borgin and Burkes" after his fathers death.
Nigellus was a slender and handsome man with a Italian moustache and dark eyes.
Nigellus was a hard-core business man that could be arrogant but was always realistic and cared greatly for his family and it's reputation.
- He was the third owner of Borgin and Burkes of the Burke Family, after his paternal grandfather Caractacus Burke (running: 1863-1894)and his father Herbert Burke (running: 1894-1936). He ran the shop for twenty years: from 1936 to 1956, when he retired at age 43.
- His brother Leopold succeded him and was the last owner of the shop from the Burke Family. He ran it from 1956 to 1984.
- After this, the Borgin family ran the shop alone.
